For over thirty years, Margot has been highly sought after by clients for her extensive knowledge and diverse background in the business. Margot is a real estate Broker Associate at Metropolitan Real Estate Group. She works with clients with residential or commercial properties in the city of Chicago and around the world. Margot is also a very successful real estate consultant, educator/speaker, and an award winning author as Founder and CEO of MW Leadership Consultants LLC.

 

For over twenty years, Weinstein was VP of a commercial real estate company, Kingston Group Inc., where she was responsible for overseeing all areas of the business.  In 2001, she received a “Good Neighbors’ Award” as a co-developer of Silver Oaks by the Chicago Association of Realtors®. 

 

Since earning her doctorate degree from Northern Illinois University, she founded MW Leadership Consultants LLC so that she could provide extraordinary programs to help professionals acquire the competitive-edge in business.  Dr. Weinstein’s programs include insights she has learned through her business experiences, education, and interviews with hundreds of CEOs worldwide including Sam Zell, Equity Group Investment and Tony Bingham, CEO, the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD). A few of her clients include the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, the University of Helsinki, Northern Illinois University, John Marshall Law School, DePaul University, Cornell University, the National Association of Realtor® (NAR) and Homburg-UWI Institute.  For the last several years, she has been a visiting professor for REALTOR® University’s graduate program by NAR.

 

An advocate of education, she has earned two masters’ degrees Summa cum laude, and a doctoral degree from Northern Illinois University, where she was initiated into Kappa Delta PI International Honor Society.  She holds the Certified International Property Specialist Designation (CIPS), 2013 Certificates of Completion of Leadership 200 and 300 Training on Becoming a Leader from the National Association of Realtors® (NAR), and the Transnational Referral Certification (TRC) from WorldProperties.com.  She holds a broker’s license with Metropolitan Real Estate Group Inc. and a DTM (Distinguished Toastmasters) for outstanding leadership and speaking abilities by Toastmasters International.  

           

Dr. Weinstein has written hundreds of articles and several books.  Margot’s latest book “Real Estate Success: 12 Leadership Strategies to Make Money Regardless of the Global Economy” contains her award winning leadership strategies along with 28 interviews from leaders worldwide including Barbara Corcoran, Millie Rosenbloom, Paul Beitler and Sheldon Good.

 

Throughout her distinguished career, Margot has been deeply involved in serving in leadership roles with a number of real estate and volunteer organizations at the local, national, and international level:

• Board Member, the Global Real Estate Council, Chicago Association of Realtors®, where she was 2014-2015 Chair (during her leadership, NAR Awarded the Council the Silver Award for International Activities).
• Member FIABCI International, Member of Committee of Experts and Committee of Brokers.
• Member, the Chicago and Midwest Council of FIABCI-USA (International Real Estate Federation); she was the 2012 President of the Council.
• Member, Women’s Council of REALTOR®-Chicago Chapter; works with leadership on event committee for 2018.
• Member of AREAA, Asian Real Estate Association.
• REALTOR®, National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).  Margot is a visiting professor for NAR’s Online MBA Program. She is also a Signature Series Speaker for the Commercial Alliance and a member of the CIPS Network.
• Fellow, the American Real Estate Society (ARES), and co-chair of the Career Placement Committee from 2008-2018.  She was the Chair of Women’s Group for many years, and she has received three writing awards for her research from ARES.
• Adjunct Professor, Homburg-UWI Academy. She teaches global real estate investment courses.
• Vice President of Marketing 2017-2018 at Speakers Forum Toastmasters International. President, 2016-2017, Speakers Forum Club, Toastmasters International. She served as VP of Marketing in 2015-2016 (Club earned President’s Distinguished Award). She served as Sergeant of Arms, 2014-2015.  She has earned the Advanced Commutator Silver and The Advanced Leader Bronze.  She has participated in several speech contests at the Club, Area and Division.
